Last minute Christmas cards

T'was the night before Christmas...................and I have finally finished my Christmas cards!!!
These two I actually finished yesterday, but only delivered them today.
They were made using the TLC (Technique Lover's Challenge) from splitcoast last week. Using the 2 different size tag punches to make these lovely stars or flowers.

Again I have used the simply scrappin kit Winter Bright. Stamps used on the first one are from lovely letters. I think the silver hodgepodge finishes it off nicely.

The stamp used on the second one is from Many Merry Messages. The glitter in the centre of the flower is the chunky sprinkles from the summer mini. It is the first chance I have had to try it and I am quite happy.

Well the children are out of the bath and very excited wanting to get ready for Santas visit tonight.

I wish you all a very Merry Christmas with your family and friends. Looking forward to a wonderful 2009.

Teachers gift tags

I found this ornament on Splitcoast and decided to try one. It was so easy I made more and am going to use them as gift tags for the kinder teachers presents.

These ones have been made using the simply scrappin kit Winter Brights.

It is basically squares layered with the base square 3.75" x 3.75",
then 3.5"x3.5", 3.25"x3.25", 3"x3", 2.75"x2.75",2.5"x2.5" and the final square is 2"x2". I have put a jumbo eyelet in the top and threaded ribbon through.

Hopefully the kinder teachers will like them.

Christamas market 2

This is my market stall. The Lara CFA Christmas market was held last Saturday. The weather was kind, it didn't rain, it wasn't too hot and the wind only came in short gusts.
I was really pleased with the interest I had for Stampin' Up!
It was a great experience being on the other side of a market stall and although there wasn't the crowd of other years it was encouraging to see so many people in Lara interested in stamping, card making and scrapbooking.
It is certainly something I will do again next year. And also thanks to those friends who came along just to say hi, it was nice to see so many familiar faces.

It is difficult to believe it is December, but it is great to see people (especially children) getting into the Christmas spirit. If you are on my mailing list you should have received your December newsletter with the great December specials. If you have not received it yet let me know or if you are not on my mailing list and would like to be please contact me

Christmas market

Well I have one more day to finish getting organised for the Christams market on Saturday morning. My husband kindly made a display board for my cards and I have filled it with examples of Christmas cards.

Anyone who knows me well will appreciate how far outside my comfort zone I was with this group of cards below. I believe red and green are the only traditional Christmas colours and it doesn't snow in Australia at Christmas so I usually stay away from snow flakes. But.......this group of cards has been made using the winter bright simply scrappin kit (which is on special next month - more on that soon!!) And wow I think they look great (even if they have some non traditional colours in them)!!!
I will try to take some photos of my stall at the market (but then I may also be run off my feet with customers!!!) and let you all know next week how I survive my first market.

Oh some other great news the Stampin Write individual marker special has been extended until 14th December. I will update all the new specials and the release of the summer mini early next week.

Welcome to my first real post. My husband put the first post on just to show me how this blog thing works.
I like to think I am fairly computer literate, but I must admit I am finding this blog thing a bit daunting.
On Saturday 8th November I went to Stampin' Up! regional seminar in Melbourne and sat at a table with 4 lovely ladies (hi Cameron, Michelle, Jenny and Margaret). It was interesting to discover I was the only one on the table without a blog. My sister also has a blog linked to her craft retreat Sewjourn. I have certainly looked at my fair share of blogs and enjoy reading what others are doing and seeing wonderful ideas, but never thought I should have one. But alas here I am.
I thought I would show you a couple of simple Christmas cards I made recently and if this works okay I will upload more of my creations as they happen.

Stamp sets: Snow Burst from Spring Mini
Warm Words

Card stock: Always Artichoke, Purely Pomegranate and Very Vanilla Holiday and Holiday Harmony DSP

Ink: Always Artichoke, Purely Pomegranate and Wild Wasabi.

Accessories: Purely Pomegranate double stitched ribbon.

Stamp set: Season of Joy (spring mini)

Cardstock: Purely Pomegranate, Always Artichoke and Whisper White

Ink: Always Artichoke, Purely Pomegranate.

Acessories: Purely Pomegranate Satin Ribbon (Spring Mini), brads from Pretties Kit.

I will now try to take better photos if I am going to be posting them on my blog.
I am planning some fun things over the next 12 months so please continue to vist my blog to keep up to date with specials and events coming soon.
